Mueller Park Baseball has been a fixture in the Davis County community for decades and has provided an opportunity for tens of thousands of youth to participate in America's past-time on some of the most beautiful little league fields in the Nation. Thanks to the efforts of great leadership in the past, the league has grown significantly, but, unfortunately, due to a lack of funding, the fields have fallen into a less-than-acceptable state and, unfortunately, the batting cages have been damaged.

 

We have recently met with DuraEdge, who takes care of the Salt Lake Bees fields as well as many little league fields in the West, and they are finalizing quotes to redo the Mueller Park Fields to make them easier to maintain and resolve some of the issues with the fields. Additionally, we have met with Big Bear Electric, who is working on quotes to repair lights on the Babe Ruth Fields and install much-needed lights on the Minor and Major fields, where we have more teams playing than we have daylight available. Finally, Nicon Handrails is working on a proposal to repair the batting cages.

 

The $120,000 in funds in this raise will be allocated to the batting cages and DuraEdge fieldwork while we attempt to get participation from the City to assist with the costs of the light repair and installation. In the event the City refuses to participate, we will increase the funding amount to cover the electric costs as necessary.

 

Mueller Park Baseball, Inc. is a Utah 501(c)(3) non-profit and, as such, all donations are tax-deductible. AJG Law Group has agreed to match the next $10,000 in donations dollar for dollar. Business donors of $1,000 or more are eligible for banners on three field fences and logo placement on the website. Donors of $300 get one banner, $550 two banners, and $750 get three banners. Other sponsorship recognition may be available for larger donations upon request.
